More Than Events: A Way of Life

To me, these are more than events. They're a way of life.

You know those signs and shirts that say, "Live, Laugh, Love"?

That's the feeling I want my gatherings to inspire.

I'm your host, the Mad Hattress of M.A.G.I.C.

We are all characters in this story called life, and I’ve come to a place where I can honestly say I’m unapologetically myself.

I do and wear ridiculous things, in hopes that in seeing and knowing me, you will be encouraged and feel free enough to be you, too.

My purpose is simple: to inspire self-love and to bring people together.

I do that by creating gatherings centered around nature, music, food, dancing, learning, play, and love.

You can almost always count on a theme, a little bit of dress-up, and a healthy dose of imagination.

Somewhere along the way, many adults were taught that play is for children.

I disagree.

Just because we're grown doesn't mean we should stop building forts, dressing up, competing in games, exploring outdoors, or getting a little dirty.

At my events, I encourage you to put down your phone and connect - with yourself, with nature, with the people around you.

One thing you'll notice about many SoulShine gatherings is that they're designed to be welcoming across generations.

In today's world, people are often separated by age, interests, or schedules.

I believe there's tremendous value in creating spaces where children, parents, grandparents, and everyone in between can learn from one another, play together, and build genuine relationships.

This belief is also reflected in how club membership works.

Every individual SoulShine membership extends to the member's parents and children, encouraging families to participate, connect, and create memories together.

Some gatherings focus on personal or professional growth.

Others exist for one simple reason: good, clean fun.

All SoulShine Network events are alcohol- and drug-free by design.

These days, you can find drinking and smoking at almost every social gathering. There's nothing wrong with that being available elsewhere, but I'm intentionally creating an alternative.

A place where people can connect, celebrate, and have meaningful experiences without substances being the center of the event.

One day, I'll welcome you onto my own property for these gatherings.

Until then, I'll be hosting events at a variety of public and private locations throughout North Florida and beyond.

Below are some of the different types of gatherings you'll find within the SoulShine Network:

Visionary Circle (monthly event) –

A collaborative, roundtable-style think tank designed to encourage you to go after your dreams, and give help you along the way…

This monthly event is a time for you to join other ambitious, goal-oriented people, to discuss your ideas, troubleshoot challenges, and gain advice.

I’ve spent the past 14 years working as a professional coach, supporting business owners in areas like people development, operations, and marketing.

That experience is a big part of what I bring to the circle. Creating strategic plans, connections and roadmaps to where you want to be is my specialty.

So, at this event, you will get the floor and be able to introduce your project or concept to the group, ask for advice, and receive feedback.

Myself and other members will offer ideas and help support you along your journey.

No matter if it’s a home project or business idea, we are here to help you move forward. We all rise together.

This is a free monthly event, included with all membership levels.

Full Moon Gatherings

Just as important as creating goals and moving forward with intention is learning the act of letting go…

Letting go of things and people not meant for us.

Gathering under the light and energy of the full moon is powerful.

It’s a time to release what no longer serves you, loosen inhibitions, and relish in the magic and beauty of being human.

We take time to ground ourselves, walking and dancing barefoot, connecting and flowing under the stars and moonlight.

This is a time to move out of thinking and into feeling.

We use music, movement, and love to release, reconnect, and heal.

Full Moon Gatherings are included with membership, with guest passes available.

Family Sports & Games Meetups

Do you like to play sports? Do you want to introduce your children to baseball, kickball, or basketball but don’t have the time or money to commit to joining a league? Then this is the right group for you.

Join us for a no-fuss, all-fun sports and games meetup where we play and explore all different types of activities together, adults and kids of all ages, all in one game.

Do we get competitive? Sure, but it’s all in good fun. Some weeks we might meet on the disc golf course, and others we’re playing kickball in a field.

We might gather for chess matchups or to play charades.

We offer lunchtime sessions on weekdays from 11am–2pm, great for homeschoolers or anyone wanting to take a long lunch break, as well as evening meetups from 6–9pm.

Members get to help choose upcoming activities and suggest new ideas.

Come learn, play, and move with us. Also included with membership.

Dance Parties

Music is my church and dance is my healing grace.

Every time I’ve been in extreme physical pain, though you might expect the opposite, I get on the dance floor and move.

I whip my hips back and forth, swing my body around, and even if it doesn’t look pretty, it loosens everything in the body (fascia, as I've learned).

Just the act of moving and getting stagnant energy out helps everything in the body reset and release.

It’s my personal belief that dancing is what allows the soul to move freely in and out of the body. Call me crazy, but dancing - alone in my bedroom, on furniture, or out in the woods - has saved me more than once.

I was also once someone who believed she couldn’t dance. It wasn’t until my 20s that I learned you don’t need to know the steps, you just let the music move you.

So, whether you think you can dance or not, come join us for a dance party. We’ll show you how to love your body and love your mind.

If you’re sad, dance. If you’re happy, dance.

Some dance parties will be free, and some will have a cost depending on the type of music event or partner location host.

Tea Parties

Tea parties are a time for dress-up, whimsical imagination, and playful connection.

They’re a time to slow down, sip and simmer.

We gather at tables and get to know one another, exchanging ideas and loving energy.

Many of the tea parties will be themed – think Mad Hatter-style gatherings inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Some will include things like angel card readings. We’ll enjoy tasty teas and learn about the healing properties of herbs and flowers. We’ll enjoy tiny tea sandwiches & treats and remember to celebrate the little things in life.

Tea parties might be daytime or nighttime and to celebrate a holiday or for no reason at all, just to celebrate and rejoice in being alive.

Tea parties will most often be a ticketed member event to cover food and beverage costs.

Occasionally, tea parties will turn into full-blown dinner parties.

Field Trips for Big Kids

Do you remember going on field trips in elementary school?

To the planetarium, the zoo, an arcade, or discovering museums and historical sites? It was a time for learning, discovery, and creating new friendships.

Now that we’re adults, how do we recreate that kind of connection?

How do we meet new friends?

Most field trips for adults revolve around alcohol, like brewery tours, again nothing wrong with that, but I want to offer an alternative.

Let’s meet up like we’re kids again, only now we’re old enough to truly appreciate the history, the experience, and the adventure.

Field trips for big kids are open to all ages and a great way to see new places, learn new things, and make new friendships along the way.

Field trips may have a cost or be free for members, depending on the location and activity.

Arts & Crafts Days

I used to host a Kids Club for homeschoolers, and one of our favorite activities was Art in the Park days. There’s something incredibly freeing about sitting in a park, along the river, or under the oaks, with a paintbrush in hand, bringing an image to life on paper or canvas.

As adults, many of us don’t take enough time for art.

Whether it’s pulling out a sketchbook and pencil, shaping clay with our hands, getting messy with finger paint, or breaking out the glitter, making space for creativity is good for the mind and soul.

Have you heard the term “art therapy”?

Therapists use coloring, painting, and simple creative expression as a healing modality. That’s something we can easily do for ourselves, too, using art to calm the mind and free the spirit.

Sometimes our Arts & Crafts Days will be instructor-led, and other times we’ll simply gather and create.

Retreats & Campouts, Solo & Group Travel

From healing retreats to campouts at beaches and music festivals, we will gather in the great outdoors and let mother nature rejuvenate our souls.

I’m a big believer that everyone should travel, meet new people, and experience new cultures. I believe we learn best from one another and through hands-on experiences.

As a SoulShine Network member, you will receive travel discounts and invites for solo and group trips, both here at home and abroad.

Examples might be a 3-day full moon gathering in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, or a campout closer to home here at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. Next year it may include a trip to Italy or to Spain for the Rototom Sunsplash Reggae Festival.

Some trips are simple and close to home, others are more expansive, but all are rooted in curiosity, exploration, and adventure.

Many will also include live music, whether that's a festival, concert, local performance, or an impromptu jam around a campfire.

Holistic Healers Study Group

I believe in the healing powers of music and dance.

I believe that every bite we eat either feeds or fights disease - that food is medicine.

I have seen and experienced firsthand the benefits of homeopathic remedies, Reiki, and many other healing modalities that some people dismiss as "witchcraft" or "voodoo."

Many healing practices were discovered thousands of years ago and passed down through generations. I believe that when we share knowledge with one another, we become stronger.

Health and happiness go hand in hand, and sometimes the greatest wisdom comes from reconnecting with nature, tradition, and practices that have stood the test of time.

I'm currently enrolled in a program to earn my Holistic Healthcare Practitioner certification, and I'll be sharing what I'm learning and creating a space for others to share their knowledge and experiences as well.

This group is open to beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

Mother Earth provides many of the tools we need to nourish and support our well-being.

Everything is energy; let's put ours toward healing, learning, and growth.

Volunteer Opportunities

Sometimes the best way to heal is to help others. Sometimes the best way to grow is to step outside your comfort zone and experience new environments.

The SoulShine Network is more than a social network, it's a support network. Throughout the year, we'll share volunteer opportunities from our partners, including organic farms, music venues, non-profits, and community organizations.

Whether you're helping care for a garden, building nature trails, supporting an event, assisting with a community project, or working behind the scenes for a meaningful cause, you'll have opportunities to learn new skills, meet new people, and make a positive impact.

When we give our time and energy in service to something larger than ourselves, we often receive just as much as we give.

SoulShine Sunday Service

I mentioned before that music is my church.

Music connects us. It brings people together across generations, backgrounds, beliefs, and cultures.

Music is powerful.

SoulShine Sunday Service (SSS) is an event that is still in the planning stages, but ultimately it will be a recurring Sunday afternoon gathering, open to people of all backgrounds, faiths, and walks of life.

It is my belief that we are all brothers and sisters.

We are one race - human.

The concept behind SSS is simple: self and community love.

Each gathering will feature a specially curated musical performance, with songs chosen to inspire, uplift, and share meaningful messages through music and lyrics.

Hosted outdoors in nature, guests will be encouraged to kick off their shoes, dig their toes into the grass or sand, dance, breathe and let their soul light shine.

We'll begin with one Sunday gathering each month and grow from there.

My hope is that the SSS becomes the heartbeat of our group and a signature gathering at my future playland.

That's right, I'm not just building a clubhouse. I'm building an entire playland.
